Terms of service

These terms apply to every purchase made on norudsgn.com. Please read them before you order: placing an order means you accept them. They do not limit any right you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

1. Who we are

NORU is the trade name of Juan Jorge Muñoz Herrero, a sole trader registered in Spain with tax number (NIF) 25342858D, at Calle de Castelló 112, 4ºD, 28006 Madrid, Spain. You can reach us at support@norudsgn.com or on +34 635 107 142.

2. The pieces

We describe every piece as accurately as we can, with its maker, materials, dimensions, and lead time. Many pieces are made by hand from natural materials such as wood, leather, parchment, and rattan, so small variations in grain, tone, and texture between the photographs and the piece you receive are part of their character, not a fault. Colours can also look slightly different depending on your screen.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in euros. For delivery within the European Union they include VAT. Shipping is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay; see our Shipping policy. Payment is taken when you place your order, using the methods shown at checkout.

4. Your order

When you place an order we send you an email confirming it, with a summary of what you bought and these terms. The contract is formed when you receive that confirmation. If a piece turns out to be unavailable after you order, we will tell you and refund you in full within 14 days.

5. Made to order and delivery

Most pieces are made to order by the workshop after you buy, which is why they take longer to arrive than stocked goods. Each piece's page shows its lead time, the time from your order to delivery. If we cannot deliver within the lead time shown, we will tell you, and you can agree a new date or cancel the order for a full refund.

6. Returns and refunds

You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind, including for pieces made to order, unless a piece was made to your own specifications. Our Return and refund policy explains how to cancel, how returns work, who pays for them, and when you are refunded. It forms part of these terms.

7. Legal guarantee

Every piece is covered by the legal guarantee of conformity for three years from delivery. If a piece is faulty or does not match its description, write to us at support@norudsgn.com with your order number and photographs, and we will arrange a repair, a replacement, or, where that is not possible, a price reduction or a refund. Normal wear, and damage caused by misuse or by not following the care instructions, are not covered.

8. Our liability

We are responsible for the pieces we sell and for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms. We are not responsible for loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

9. Intellectual property

The texts, design, and our own photographs on norudsgn.com belong to NORU. Photographs and designs supplied by makers and photographers belong to them and are credited where possible. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

10. Personal data

We use your personal data only as described in our Privacy policy.

11. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, write to us first at support@norudsgn.com and we will reply within 15 days. Official consumer complaint forms are available on request. These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of your place of residence.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
